R.I.P. Keith ! We sure miss ya buddy ! Turn Me Up is his BEST masterpiece.
Another talented young man gone waaay too soon. I was in school in New York at the time he was putting out his music. We loved Turn Me Up! One night my roommate had sex with him in a club (I think it might have been Studio 54 but not sure). Sounds like Keith was a fun, vibrant, talented man! You (and many others from that period – Larry Levan, etc) are remembered… and missed!
This is great!
You can hear it on You Tube; search Keith Barrow:Precious.
As anybody got or know where I can get a copy of Keith singing precious, I have been trying to find this song for years.
I only knew him from albums and music! I know he even wrote some tunes! I saw his name on some credits on the Mystic Dragons album by Blue Magic! I think the Song was Teach Me How To LOVE!
Keith and I use tear the clubs up. He lived on Riverside Dr in Harlem, and after the clubs would close we all would crash at his place. I miss keith, he was a great talent! God bless his spirit.. lets keep his music alive!
The Physical Attraction LP is great! It’s a mixture of disco tunes like this one and Turn Me Up. But it also have some nice R&B songs like “You Know You Want to Be Love” and “Free To Be Me”. Worth grabbing if you can find a copy.
Hello Perhaps you had keith confused with someone else I was his best friend until he died and he never did a public impersonation anywhere

Do you know how I can find a video or how I can download copy of “You know you want to be loved?” I don’t know if Keith wrote this song, however, he did perform it.
I remember hearing this on a Black Station(WDKX) in Rochester,N.Y. in summer, late 70’s. Great cut.Never knew the artist’s name until now. Similar to Sylvester in singing style. Thanks for the info and posting.
